Real Tai Chi Chuan Helps You Learn Street-Ready Martial Arts and Improve Your Health... Guaranteed!

You must have two vital things in your training for you to be able to say that you are practicing "real" Tai Chi Chuan. These two key ingredients are so important that if you were to remove either one of them you will not get the unique Tai Chi benefits and neither will you have the right to even call it "Tai Chi Chuan".

The first is that you must be training Tai Chi Chuan (pinyin: Taijiquan) as a martial arts. Tai Chi Chuan was created as a form of combat, a form of self defence, and a form of lethal fighting. Tai Chi Chuan was created as a martial art that can be used to defend yourself, your family, your community, and your nation.

Your Tai Chi Chuan is meant to be a kick-ass combat art … period … fullstop.

The other key element is that your Tai Chi Chuan must be firmly grounded and deeply rooted in the same philosophy and world-view that gave rise to the tradition of Taoism (pinyin: Daoism). Thus the principles of Yin/Yang theory, the Bagua, and the philosophies contained in the Tao Teh Ching must be the building blocks your Tai Chi Chuan is based on.

If you were to ask my opinion, my view of "real Tai Chi Chuan" is:

"Real Tai Chi Chuan, being a style of Chinese Kungfu, is an elite martial arts that you can use in street self defense, in ring fighting, or even in Special Forces combat. Tai Chi fighting employs the Taoist philosophy of Yin and Yang and naturalness as its strategy, as its method of movement, and as a way of being."

In stark comparison, what you see most of in today's world is so drastically different it's enough to make your head spin.

You find Tai Chi Chuan that has been infested with delusional thinking about what is or is not possible in terms of practical martial arts. Or even worse, you find Tai Chi Chuan that has been stripped of its combat aspects completely and is being promoted only as some sort of health practice "just for old people" (what a load of crap that is). You also find Tai Chi Chuan that has been robbed of its deep philosophical Taoist roots. I'm seeing people promote Tai Chi Chuan based on Buddhist or Christian principals … Call it something else for goodness sake because it isn't Tai Chi Chuan!

What you will find amongst the pages of is my attempt to reinvigorate Tai Chi Chuan … to drag it (kicking and screaming if need be) out of the mire of delusions and fantasy faith-beliefs to be once more relevant as a practical martial arts and as a philosophical strategy for life.
