Overview: Bandstand, east of Boating Lake. Other Artists will be there from 0700 so please feel free to turn up early and get some practice in.
This is a chance to meet and Share, explore Tai Chi Pushing Hands and other skills, NO Ego will be tolerated, the object of the excercise is to promote Tai Chi Skill, NOT to beat on each other, This is a fun event and we intend to keep it that way :)

"Push hands is a two man exercise designed to develop sensitivity and listening skills, and to allow students of internal martial arts to engage in tekken and training, with minimum risk of injury or death.

The focus of push hands is the domination of an opponents centre. This is achieved through softness, as opposed to brute force, and it requires correct posture and mental focus. The forum is not interested in the execution of any particular technique, just the creation of the opportunity to do so. As such, the skillsets involved will be of great benefit to any players interested in close quarters engagement.

This is not a competition, nor is it a class or seminar. This is a place for friends to meet and train.

It is primarily for students to have an opportunity to push hands with different people and different styles to advance their skills.

It is a friendly democratic forum for practice and does not include any teaching by any association or school, although participants are welcome to demonstrate the characteristics of their style if they wish. All instructors wishing to attend should make themselves known.

The success of the venture depends upon mutual co-operation and an understanding that it is a non competitive and non aggressive environment designed for practice and investigation and to promote a common bond of interest. Overt aggression, hostile challenges and violence are not acceptable, and are contrary to the spirit of the forum. "
